Explore the trails traversing Lantau island.

TransLantau100 by UTMB® covers 102km on the most scenic trails on Lantau Island, for a cumulative elevation gain of 4,900 meters. This is a challenging trail run which requires adequate training to complete the full route within 30 hours. The route includes steep climbs and downhills, the highest climb being the Lantau peak (934m).

This race is semi-self sufficiency (9 refreshment posts are located along the route) marked with reflective orange ribbons and signs at intersections. To enroll for the TransLantau100 by UTMB®, you must be a finisher of a 100km trail race OR a 50-km trail race in <12h within the last 3 years.

Mandatory Gear

Athletes must carry the mandatory gear at all times during the race. You should be prepared for random checks on the course, and if you are missing any item you will receive a time penalty and may not be allowed to continue the race.

💰 CASH (MIN. HK$100) for public bus or taxi in case of withdraw. Octopus card is recommended

NOTE: Hiking poles. If you decide to use poles, you must keep them throughout the whole race. It is not allowed to start without poles and recover them up along the way.

Most checkpoints have a public transport access:

🎯 T1: Nam Shan. Easy access by bus from Mui Wo or 2.5km hike from start.

🎯 T2 & T6: Ngong Ping. Easy access by bus from Mui Wo (Bus#2, not frequent), Tung Chung (Bus#23, every 30min in daytime), Tai O (Bus#21, not frequent), then 5min walk.

🎯 T3: Kau Ling Cheung. Assistance not tolerated.

🎯 T4: Tai O. Bus from Mui Wo (Bus#1) or Tung Chung (Bus#11).

🎯 T5: Sham Wat. Assistance not tolerated.

🎯 T7: Shui Hau. Easy access by bus (Bus #1, #23).

🎯 T8: Pak Kung Au. Regular buses from/to Tung Chung or Mui Wo.

🎯 T9: Pak Mong. Assistance not tolerated.
