These Terms and Conditions sets out your obligations and ours with respect to your use of this site and, by using the site, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions.

UTMB Asia Limited (“UTMB Asia”) is the organizer of the TransLantau™ by UTMB®. All personal data provided by the runner / volunteer will be collected by UTMB Asia.

UTMB Asia will not disclose any Information to third parties, except (1) required to do so by law; regulation, judgement, order, subpeona or any other government order (2) to protect the rights, property, security or safety of UTMB Asia Site users or the public; (3) to respond to an emergency.

You agree that when you click on an “Submit” or similar button with your mouse, keystroke or other computer device, if any, your agreement or consent will be legally binding and enforceable as the legal equivalent of your handwritten signature.

Security Practices

UTMB Asia uses secure servers to protect all of your personal information including your name and contact details. Please remember that no data transmission over the Internet, or by other means, can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Age of participants

The event is open for people who are 18 years of age or older for all races but TransLantau25 which is open for people who are 14 years or older.

Acceptance of application

The acceptance of your application is based upon a first come first served basis.

Race director has final ruling

The race director has the final ruling on everything related to the race including disqualification, change of event time and change of route.

Race cancellation/Transfer/Refund Policy

The event cancellation may result in a partial refund of the paid entry fee, subject to deduction of administration fee (5%) and the bank charges resulting from refund processing. Details of the refund policy are provided on the registration page.

You may not sell or transfer your entry to another runner.

If a race is interrupted or cancelled due to bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, no refunds will be offered.

Unforeseen circumstances include following reasons: landslides, rockfalls or hill fires along the course, adverse weather conditions force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the organiser and which renders it impossible, unsafe or impractical to hold the event. A force majeure event shall include, but is not limited to, act of God, war, hostilities, invasion, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot, protests, commotion, strikes, go-slows, lock outs, blockage or disorder, blocked or inaccessible roads or trails, outbreak of disease, acts or threats of terrorism. In such event no refund of the registration fee (and any charitable donation) will be provided.

Linking Policy

This site contains links to other sites and pages which are not maintained or controlled by UTMB Asia and for which UTMB Asia is not responsible. When you activate any of these links or pages you leave UTMB Asia and access to such a site or page is at your own risk for which UTMB Asia disclaims all responsibility and liability.

Personal Information Collection Statement

During the registration process personal data will be collected by UTMB Asia and may include your name, telephone number, email address, age, gender or other such personal information. Personal data collected will be used by UTMB Asia for the following purposes:
(1) conducting customer surveys; (2) contacting participants to provide information about the events organized by UTMB Asia and UTMB® World Series; (3) collecting race pack; (4) announcing the results of the race; (5) organisation of the event. Information given is voluntary, but failure to provide the requested personal data may mean UTMB Asia is unable to process your application.

Access and correction of data
