TransLantau™ by UTMB® explores the trails and summits of the island of Lantau, the largest of the Hong Kong territory.

An expedition through the untamed wilderness of Hong Kong

TransLantau™ by UTMB® is an UTMB® World Series Event.

Scheduled for November 8th to 10th, 2024, the event presents four challenging races on Lantau Island: 25km, 50km, 100km, and 120km, offering participants a unique opportunity to explore the rugged beauty of Hong Kong's wildest territories.

TransLantau™ by UTMB® provides runners of all skill levels with the chance to break free from the urban hustle and reconnect with nature on the untamed landscape of Hong Kong's wildest island.

The demanding course predominantly follows trails, encompassing 80% of the race distance and traversing two country parks. Participants will experience a profound connection with nature as they test their endurance amidst rolling hills and pristine coastlines, far removed from the urban sprawl of Hong Kong. Along the route, runners will encounter iconic landmarks such as the Tai O fishing village, the majestic Big Buddha, and the serene Po Lin Monastery, offering an authentic journey through the island's rich cultural and natural heritage.
